This Acacia Howittii has been in the collection for a few years now and continues to reward me with flowers each year.
The flowering this year is not as profuse and this is mainly due to the very cold winter we had this year, it appears that some trees didn’t appreciate the severe frosts, and this is one of them. All that said, it is still a pleasure when the flowers come out.
In previous years I have let this tree develop seed pods which look really good on the tree but this year I intend to give it a good trim and shaping after the flowering has finished so there will be no seeds.
