On 11 May 2019 I attended the the exhibition put on by the Bonsai Study Group in Sydney. A cool day weather wise greeted us but the company was welcoming and warm.
I know I say this ad nauseam but the lighting at these events doesn’t allow the visiting public to properly appreciate the quality of the bonsai on exhibition and is difficult to take reasonable photos. All that said (again) time to turn our attention to the trees.
This year the majority of bonsai on display were Australian native species and that was great to see. I believe the general public really appreciate seeing Australian native plants as bonsai and it is certainly gaining in popularity.
Before I show the Australian natives though, I thought I would start with a few camellias that were in flower and on display.
