Re: collection pics
Kerrin, following your posting of 'the beast', I was thinking to myself that it would be a great thread for you to collect all of your featured trees as they are now, so that we can get a proper feel for the very high quality of your collection. The 'candid' shots are a nice way to do this. Your collection truly looks like something deserving of the title. The beast is my favourite to date.
Thanks for posting your lovely work and giving us some inspiration.

Re: collection pics
If wer are bragging about camera hardware
I use a Pentax K5 IIs. 2 lenses I use are 17 - 70mm F2.8, and a 70-200mm also F2.8
I shoot in Aperture priority mode mostly as i want to control the depth of field usually. I select the lowest appropriate ISO to get a shutter speed of 60 ms or so.

Re: collection pics
Hey Kez, hate to see you out and alone on this one so here's some pics of mine (or a lot).
Apologies are due first, no I haven't gone out and cleaned up my area, I am half way through potting for spring so some look good and some look like,........ well you know.
and not entering into the camera competition these photos are taken on my "bonsai" camera, a 8 year old Casio digital.
I do bonsai (with a varying degree of success) I don't do photography (but that will need to change)
hope you enjoy,
Watty

Mate the last 4 phones I've bought, I went in telling myself NO MORE IPHONES. But once I step in the store my mind goes blank, next thing I know I'm outside the store with a brand new iPhone in my hand.Jarad wrote:You poor lost souls that have jumped on the iPhone bandwagon... Re: collection pics
Thanks Kez and Andrew,
For your question Kerin, yes still very much alive after Pete delivered it all the way to Mackay for me, will update on this post for you, when I get a photo done but it is hidden in the middle of photo 11 if I counted correctly.
Andrew imitation is the best form of flattery, so go for it, this project is about 8 years in the making, so best you get on to it now.
If you didn't catch it the first time see this
