SCHOOL OF BONSAI EXHIBITION 2016 – My Favourite

As always at a show there is one tree that becomes your favorite, and this exhibition was no exception.

My best tree was a bottlebrush, a large tree that had a few “faults”, but I looked straight past those apparent faults and focused on the parts that I enjoyed.

So without further ado, here is my favorite from the exhibition.

  1. Hi Watto, this bottlebrush looks great.
I have recently found a bottlebrush (in the field) that I would like to remove and bonsai. Can you offer any advice on the best method/time of year etc.? The tree is quite old and established. Tree is in North Queensland.

    • Where I live, and that is a long way from North Queensland, we prefer to dig in early December as this species respond better to being dug in the warmer weather. But if it warm all the time where you are you might be better off digging in early October.
      Good luck with it.
      Watto
