OLIVE – WINDSWEPT

This European olive was given to me by a friend in South Australia a couple of years ago. Originally it was dug from the Adelaide Hills and made its way to Goulburn on a long road trip. I like this little shohin and in the coming years I hope it continues to develop.

It is unusual in that it has a large area of dead wood in the centre of the tree but this is the feature I really enjoy. I do understand that this will not last for ever but the theory is to enjoy it while it lasts and then re-design it into a new artistic “look” to take it into the future.
