Literati Deodar Ceder

I have been working on this literati for quite some time and I think sometimes it looks OK and others not so good. Its a seasonal thing.

This photo is of it recently with all new soft foliage, and although there is probably a bit too much foliage, I like this look.

English Elm

This small yamadori English elm was dug in about 2005 or so and has been under various bonsai cultivation techniques over the years. It has also been here a couple of times and I personally think it looks best when it is in the winter state (no leaves) so you can appreciate the ramification.

However it does have a degree of interest in the spring as well when the new leaves open, and so I took a photo and I thought I would share.

It does need a bit of a trim and tidy up, and that will happen over the next few weeks but for now I just enjoy it as it is.

30 T-SHIRTS IN 30 DAYS

At the start of September I thought it would be fun to post a different t-shirt with a bonsai related theme every day for the whole month. Today is the last day of September and this will be the last in the series of bonsai t-shirts posted, and I have a couple left over!

As it is the last day it is appropriate that my “blog sponsor” gets two t-shirts put up in lights.
